Leaders

 We are learning about leadership.

A great leader  has characteristic the following quality's:

•  Respect 
• A good listener
• Humility
• Role model  
• Sportsman's ship
• Truthfulness 

A leader I respect is Barrack Obama, because he was the president of America and if you were

 the president you need good leadership roles  also he lowers the health cost of medical bills then he tried to stop climate change.  Overall he's been trying a lot to improve people's lives and that why I think he is a good leader.

Goal Setting Term 1

1. Before term 2 I will get at least 8/10 in my spelling words.

2. Before term 2 I will learn to scull and freestyle properly

3. I will learn to do division properly before term 2

4. Learn some algebra at home so I know the formula

How will I achieve my goals.

1. Practice them by doing there definition and sentences 

3. When doing 100 basic facts try and focus on the divided by ones

4. My dad can teach me every Friday for 30 minutes

Playground Writing

WALT upload a post about one thing we did today.

Yesterday we did a playground writing where we had to explain about how the Juniors  got a brand new playground With different parts about it. Like how it was constructed and how happy the  Juniors  were when they got a new playground, and it was a cooperative  google docs with everyone doing it. The one I had done was the how happy the Juniors  was when they saw there brand new playground.

Reflection.

What did I learn? What I learnt was how the playground was built.

What  did I enjoy? I enjoyed that everyone was in the same google doc 

What could I improve on? I think I could improve on my grammar because I dont know when to put a comma.

 

Maitai bay brochure

 WALT upload my learning to my blog post.

Last week we had to make a brochure about when we went to Maitai bay and went looking for fish. We had to buddy up and my buddy was Rusty to make the brochure. What we had to have was, What sea life was there, what the rahui has achieved and what is Maitai bay. You could also say what activities you could do there. 

 

Reflection

What did I learn?: I learnt all types of things I didn't know like  that there was a rahui there and was helping out Maitai bay make sea life come back.

What did I find challenging?: What I found challenging was what sea life was there and explaining what Maitai bay is.

What could I improve on?:  Explaining The part where it says, what has the rahui achieved so far.

Kiwi can

WALT upload a post showing what we learned in kiwi can today.

Today we went to kiwi can and I am going to tell you what we learned.When we got their, the kiwican teacher said today we are learning about respect and show us a catchphrase, we respect our school because were cool, after that we had a game called snap crackle pop its where you put something small in the middle like a jandel and we are in a circle and go in groups of three then you can be snap, crackle or pop

I was snap then the teacher would say ether snap, crackle or pop then the person who has the name would run around everyone and back to your team while the other people try and make a gap by standing on one leg and connecting them.Then the runner runs through you and try and get the jandal we had a few games and my team won! Then the teacher wanted to get us in groups of three and say how we were showing respect.  We said how if you got out you wouldn't complain then we played a game of gkq which I have explained before. While we did that they pick out the points we got 3 then we went back to class.

Reflection  

How did I show respect today?: I wouldn't complain when I got out.

What did I enjoy?: I enjoyed when I grabbed the jandal because before I kept going to slow.

What could I improve on?: I think I could improve is my speed because i was slow when going around.

Marine training

On Tuesday we did some marine training. Once we got there we met Oliver the guide who will teach us what to do when we go to the real beach. First he gave us goggles, snorkel and a wet suit to our size, we then went to put it on and it was quite hard putting on the wet suit. Once we did that, Oliver gave us some instructions to follow, the first one was to go with a buddy. We then sat on the edge of the pool and hoped in he then gave us some boogie boards, the first thing he had us do was put our head down and breath though our snorkel and paddle to the end and come back with the boogie boards, the next one we did was he put a hoola hoop under water where we had to go though it, so when it was my turn I went and we had to blow all the water out of our snorkeler then we got changed then went back to school.

Reflection 

What did you learn?: I learn't how to put on a wet suit.

What did you enjoy?: I enjoyed floating in the water since I haven't been in water in a long time.

What is one goal you have to do with your ability in the water; blowing out the snorkel  because water is some times still in there which I swallow.

My Waitangi trip

 WALT reflect on our class trip.

On Tuesday we went to Waitangi and I am going to tell you about it. I went in my parents car so I had a nap in the front of the car. When we got there we went into the learning room where we were going stay most of the time. The guide was called Monika she told us about her self's we then had morning tea. We had a tour of the area and then got  showed a big boat called a waka that had carvings  and a really big tree trunk. We then went back and got in to two buddies and played on a site called scratch it is a coding site were we had to get a guy from the left side and using code get them to the right. We did that then had lunch. We then played outside in  this big meadow and  after we did some more coding like how to make the person move using arrow keys We then went home.

Reflection

What did you enjoy?: I enjoyed doing the code were we had to get a guy from the left side and using code get them to the right because it was fun figuring how many steps he had to do and stuff like that.

What did you learn?: How to code in scratch.
